Want to learn how to make your own bias tape but feel a little intimidated by it? We will go over various methods of creating your own bias tape to use in your sewing projects! Learn to cut, piece together, and press bias tape in preparation for use in various sewing projects! We will also go over using bias tape: how to bind an edge, how to do a bias facing, and how to create piping and cording.

Students will leave the class with samples of each of the techniques, and the confidence to create and use your own bias tape in any future sewing projects! This is a super helpful skill to have - you can use bias tape finishes for most garments and bags. Cording and piping is a fun detail to add to clothing, garments, and upholstery projects!

This is a beginner friendly class, though students should know the basics of setting up and using a sewing machine. If you have taken Sewing 101 or have the equivalent experience, you will be good to go! Please email sophie@littlebirdsewing.com with any questions or concerns!

This is an adult only class, 16yrs and up. Younger, mature students considered with teacher permission. If you need to cancel, please do so at least 72hrs in advance so that we can hopefully fill your spot. If you have to cancel for an emergency or illness with less than 72hr notice, we will do our utmost to reschedule you into another class, and otherwise a full refund will be issued.
