Made a tote bag and ready to up it a level? Interested in patchwork quilting but want to start small? Just like bags?? Then this is the class for you! Join me in making this lovely drawstring, patchwork tote bag! This is a project from the book, “Contemporary Patchwork” by Arounna Khounnoraj - you might remember this book from last year’s class where we made patchwork mug rugs!

In this class we will have some fun with designing and creating a small patchwork pocket that the bag features. We will then create our bag! We will learn how to sew with heavier-weight fabric (cotton canvas), featuring top-stitching and drawstring insertion, plus plenty of pockets! This is a great project to increase your sewing confidence, while also having some fun with creativity and design!

This class is for adult students (16+), younger, mature students welcome with instructor’s permission. Please email sophie@littlebirdsewing.com with any questions or concerns.

All supplies will be provided and are included in the class fee. Just bring yourself! :D

**You will notice that there are two options for class payment! One adds a $5 donation to the Sewing Scholarship Fund! This is optional, but much appreciated - The $5 goes towards supporting a student this summer in summer camp and is a program that is launching this year! Thank you for your support!

Things happen and sometimes a cancellation is unavoidable. Please contact Sophie as soon as you know you need to cancel so that plans can be made to reschedule. For pre-paid workshops, cancellations are only accepted up to a week before the scheduled workshop and you will be refunded in full. Any later than that and only 50% will be refunded with the remainder going towards class costs (time and supplies), unless we are able to fill your spot with someone else. Please don’t come to class sick - we will work with you to reschedule! Thanks so much!
